No. Signing up doesn't commit you to anything. You don't need to share any info about yourself beyond your email unless you're ordering services for a trial. If you take a server on trial, you're not obligated to renew or pay for it unless you decide to yourself.

For a priced dedicated server config, installation takes around 20 minutes, depending on how fast your chosen OS image installs. A VPS or hosting install usually takes up to 10 minutes. Domain name registration takes 1–72 hours, depending on the terms and how fast the registrars for specific zones operate.
